Bingham C. Jamison, CFA

Bingham C. Jamison, CFA is a veteran advocate who writes and speaks about pivotal issues veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan face upon returning home. A captain in the Marine Ready Reserves, he serves as a member of the Military Advisory Board for Veterans Healing Initiative (VHI), a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing veterans access to treatment for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Compelled to serve in the wake of 9/11, Bingham joined the United States Marine Corps and spent four years on active duty as an Intelligence Officer. He served two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he commanded tactical intelligence exploitation teams. He was also selected as one of two-dozen athletes to represent the U.S. Armed Forces in the 2003 international military pentathlon competition in the Netherlands, where Team USA challenged teams from every NATO country. He is a Client Strategist for Signature, a private wealth management firm, where he delivers investment advice and estate planning solutions to wealthy family clients. Before joining Signature, Bingham was the Business Operations Manager for a major defense contractor, and a Managing Director at Wellspring Partners, an alternative investments advisory business. Bingham began his career in finance as an Investment Analyst at Investure, an outsourced investment office for endowments and foundations, where he was a member of the private equity and hedge fund teams. He was also a Terrorism Finance Analyst in the Irregular Warfare group at the National Ground Intelligence Center. He holds a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, and serves on UVA’s Economics Engagement Committee. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. A native of Atlanta, GA, Bingham lives in Charlottesville, VA with his wife and two children.
