A brush fire lights up the evening sky behind a F-15SG assigned to the Republic of Singapore air force at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Aug. 15, 2011. Flight line activity, to include all flying operations, were stopped and personal evacuated from flight line buildings as the fire approached the base. A building containing navigation equipment on the airfield may have sustained some minor damage. No other damage was reported.     House Pushes for East Coast Missile Shield

    The House has approved a $643 billion defense-spending bill for 2013 that’s $3.7 billion more than the Obama Administration, and its Pentagon, is seeking. That’s just about the same amount the Congressional Budget Office estimates the House bill’s push for an East Coast missile shield will cost over the next five years.
