Obama Cleverly Leading from Behind — Again

The quiet coalition has come together to reverse the decline of the opposition rebel forces in Syria, according to this nice front-pager in Wednesday’s Washington Post.  Much like in the case of Libya, the Obama Administration is hanging back and letting the local “market” determine his military response.  He simply refuses to take the strategic lead, which is frustrating to many and yet decidedly clever on his part.

Why do we require that these guys are so squeaky clean?? If we removed everyone in private industry from their job for having an extra-marital affair, I have a feeling that there would be some pretty serious disruptions in our society from the bottom to the very top… She’s not even in the military, so there isn’t even a professional conflict of interest.

It seems to me that if he’s getting the job done, and not engaging in any illegal actions, murder or embezzlement or tax fraud come to mind, I think he should be left alone.
