    Mental Ills Top Reason U.S. Troops Now Hospitalized

    Four of the top five non-combat medical conditions sending troops to the hospital in 2011 were mental ailments, the Pentagon reports:

    Not a touch and go, which would be executed with the hook up. That was what is called a “trap” in Naval Aviation parlance.

    As a Naval Aviator, I experienced way too many examples of heroism on the flight deck. It is one of the most dangerous places to work in the world, and we were all trained and ready.

    My question is: How long did it take them to get the deck ready to recover the aircraft in the air? I’m guessing not long, that they had adequate tanker assets airborne and did not have to divert ( “bingo”) a single aircraft to shore.
