It is not about redistribution of wealth as our progressive friends would like to see happen in this country. It is about individual responsibility and helping those in need. The value in this mindset is how great you feel when you do become successful, and are at a point in your life that you can give back.

I’ll give you a break when you stop being such a ideologue troll. Reality check – the guy who robbed the 91 year old is a DB. Regardless of what his excuse is. It has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism. A DB is a DB in every single political camp. You’re the only one that makes a political point out of it.

I’m thinking that while he has had to get his wounds treated at Temple, the Army paid for it. It’s not uncommon for the military to send active-duty personnel for treatment. A lot of time it’s because of bedspace, or the amount of post-op treatment needed, or for whatever reason.

As for their home, on-post housing is always in short supply at every military installation in the Department of Defense. Couples some times have to move to off-post housing (with a housing allowance to offset the cost), while they wait for a house to open for them. Also, considering his condition, it’s possible that they will have to wait even longer for an on-post home that’s handicapped-accessible.

I don’t really know what his situation is, I’m just speculating based on what I saw happen in the Army. But I’ve always thought that the military takes care of its own. It might not be the best, or the fastest, and it may seem maddening at times, but it does make the effort.
