    Mental Ills Top Reason U.S. Troops Now Hospitalized

    Four of the top five non-combat medical conditions sending troops to the hospital in 2011 were mental ailments, the Pentagon reports:

    Sadly, it’s troubling to still be reading sentences like this:

    “Since coming home from Afghanistan, his friend had begun to drink heavily, became violent at times, and eventually was discharged due to disciplinary issues.”
    .
    Does the military still not realize that mental health and “disciplinary issues” are closely related?

    The military is of course lapse in acknowledging that anybody has suffered from any sort of severe mental illness due to the wars.
