Pentagon Potshots II

You may recall early last week when we mentioned the pair of shootings at the Pentagon and the Marine museum at Quantico, Va., about 30 miles south. At the time, Pentagon officials thought the shootings “random” events but were studying “the possibility of a connection.” Today they connected them, after ballistics tests showed that both sets of bullets came from the same weapon. (There’s also a third shooting, which took place on Oct. 25 or 26 at the Marine Corps Recruiting Station in suburban Virginia, which also may have come from the same gun.) The FBI is on the case. The bad news: someone is shooting at Defense Department installations. The good news: the nut is apparently a loner, sort of the Lee Harvey Oswald of U.S. military infrastructure.

So he is a nut and a loner huh? I guess that means you are saying in a round about way he does not appear to be a muslim and cannot therefore be seen or viewed as a terrorist.

“the Lee Harvey Oswald of U.S. military infrastructure”

Why do you keep alluding to the JFK assassination, Mr. Thompson? Is there something we should know?

As a simple matter of clarity, it is probably best not to invoke Oswald in an effort to demonstrate that the shooter is a lone nut.

I’m forced to concur. Unlike our current shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald was successful.
The comparison is at the very least, tacky.

Thanks for the link. I, along with most Americans, agree with its sentiment.

At least he didn’t drag out the beltway snipers. I’m just hoping this guy sticks to buildings.
